Today the company is one of the leading jewellers in Norway, dealing mainly with diamonds, pearls, gold jewellery and Swiss watches. Heyerdahl is well known in the market for making their own jewellery designs for their customers. 

In 2006 the company was taken over by Sten Heyerdahl’s son, Thomas Heyerdahl, who has been working for the company since 1994. Thomas Heyerdahl is a goldsmith, diamond specialist and jewellery designer. In 2006 he started Heyerdahl Jewellery Design. The two companies are still 100% owned by the Heyerdahl family. 

After making the world’s most expensive iPod called “iDiamond”, the Heyerdahl company achieved a lot of publicity in the media all over the world. The iPod was created as a unique piece and donated to charity as part of a Quintessentially event in London in March, 2008. Heyerdahl Jewellery Design is a privately owned company whose mission is to create the most exceptional customised products in the world. Heyerdahl Jewellery Design combines the ultimate luxury with the latest advances in technology and design.

Heyerdahl focuses on the company’s own brand products, but also offers special limited products in collaboration with leading companies worldwide. Mr. Thomas Heyerdahl was the designer of Nokia’s first real diamond phone, made in collaboration with Nokia in China. Heyerdahl has also crafted another sought-after haute electronic item – the world’s most exclusive earphones named “iDiamond ear”, encrusted by 204 diamonds, and a special Audi A1 Diamond edition. The A1 Diamond edition is a tribute to all women – and a jewellery piece on the road. 

His newest project is called TAGS by Heyerdahl, made to style your own favourite sneakers. TAGS by Heyerdahl are made from 18 ct. gold or sterling silver, encrusted with 90 high quality diamonds or cubic zirconia. Each part is handcrafted to perfection using exceptional materials and skilled craftsmanship.
